Partners: Funky Citizens from Romania and CGE Erfurt e.V. from Germany
The project will enable the three organizations to develop an advocacy position based on evidence and to use their national and international networks to spread knowledge and advocate towards relevant institutions. Also, raising public awareness that vocational school students should not be taught to be only workers but also active citizens of their democratic communities.
General goal: contribute to a higher level of civic literacy and participation among young people
Specific goals: to enrich the knowledge of youth organizations/NGOs that work with young people about Civics in vocational schools, to strengthen the capacity of NGOs and to advocate for progress on Civics issues in vocational schools. In this publication, we aim to provide the interested public with insights into the current state of civic education in European countries, stimulate discussion about the quality of this education, and, most importantly, suggest possible ways to improve the quality of civic education in vocational schools.
